Hi Dear Coeliacs! <3
I love hot chocolate and I never buy them at Coffee Shops around town because normally they are listed as a “may contain”. I am aware that many coeliacs drink hot chocolate at Starbucks, Costa, Insomnia etc and they do not feel sick but I prefer to avoid.
At Temple Bar my husband and his sister bought a pint at The Temple Bar. I asked for a Ginger Beer but the only offered did not specify gluten-free so I refused. I decided to walk around to find a hot chocolate for me. I enter the first coffee shop that I saw, called Brick Alley Cafe.
I asked if their hot chocolate was gluten-free. The shop assistant didn’t know but gave me a sachet of their hot chocolate and their menu. The chocolate brand is Nauralmix. It is a company from Italy and in their website there are directions on how to visit the industry.
I have never heard of this brand before but I was REALLY HAPPY to find it! The sachet had a gluten-free logo and the menu explained everything. They have so many chocolate options that took me a few minutes to decide.
I went for a Hot Chocolate with Coconut, it was delicious! With shredded coconut inside <3
Indeed, it was really delicious and creamy. I felt like a normal person again for drinking a hot chocolate outside home. The negative point was the small quantity for 3.95 euros (price at 12/10/2018). At least, when I have visit I can take them around Temple Bar while drinking something safe.
